Role: Senior Associate/Associate

Our team in Witney is expanding, and we are looking for a Senior Associate/Associate to join the team.
The Role
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Manage a full case load of commercial property matters;
- Line management of some individuals within the team, assisting in training and development of your colleagues, including our trainees / apprentices;
- As necessary and alongside the Head of Department provide technical assistance and support to other lawyers in the team to aid learning and development;
- Build a busy case load and develop a team and growth of the department in Witney; and
- Assist in managing the overall team alongside Partners / Head of Department to include input on strategy and objectives for the department.
The Candidate
- Has experience managing a full and varied caseload of commercial property matters;
- Can demonstrate expertise in the acquisition and disposal of commercial freehold and leasehold properties, both with and without vacant possession;
- Strong working knowledge of non-contentious landlord and tenant matters;
- Proven experience acting in development transactions, including promotion agreements, options, conditional contract and overage arrangements;
- Experience acting for lenders in secured lending transactions;
- Ability to perform under pressure while consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of work;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to advise clients clearly and commercially;
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting working relationships;
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational ability;
- Capable of working independently using sound judgement, while proactively seeking guidance or clarification when appropriate; and
- If possible, an existing knowledge of the market and contacts in Witney, but strong networking and business development skills will be essential. This is to assist when collaborating with the Marketing department on new ideas and opportunities.
