Legal Apprenticeships

There are many different paths into your chosen career and having a future in the law is no exception.

As an employer, we look to recruit our employees based on merit, work experience and work ethic, not purely on qualifications.  We are passionate about offering our team members the career development while on the job, which is why apprenticeships are an ideal way to start your career with Parker Bullen.

Why Parker Bullen?

As an established law firm in Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire, we have been working with local businesses, individuals and families for over 200 years. Our reputation in Andover and Salisbury is well known and we are enjoying a growing presence in Romsey after opening our office in The Hundred in 2021. Our fourth office opened in Witney in October 2022, and we are already expanding rapidly due to our profile in the town. Following our merger with Kirklands Solicitors LLP in May 2024, we now have an additional office at Strong House in Romsey as well as an office in Totton.

As an apprentice at Parker Bullen, you would not only be a part of this growing firm, but also enjoy our extensive Employee Benefits Package, varied social activities, a supportive working environment and extensive Learning and Development Programme to support your future career aspirations.

Why an Apprenticeship?

You may have been considering a career in the law but do not wish to follow the University route, preferring practical, hands on experience.

An apprenticeship is the perfect opportunity for you to gain the qualifications required to pursue this career path, while providing you with real life experience of working in a law firm, earning a living and learning on the job.  You will be able to put the theory into practice, observe your peers and gain a unique insight into the day to day operations of a law firm including the administration and marketing functions.

Apprenticeship Opportunities

We can offer two Apprenticeship options:

Paralegal Apprenticeship – this results in a Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification over a period of 21 months.

Visit our Paralegal Apprenticeship page for more information.

Solicitor Apprenticeship – once you have completed the Paralegal Apprenticeship with us, you can then move on to the Solicitor Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship results in you completing both SQE1 and SQE2 exams, and if successfully passed you can apply to be admitted as a Solicitor with the Solicitors Regulatory Authority.

See our Solicitor Apprenticeship page for more information.

We are also reviewing other apprenticeship opportunities across the firm, including in our IT, Marketing and Accounts departments.

How do I apply for an Apprenticeship?

Applications for 2024 are now closed but we will be considering all applications in 2025.
