Debbie joined the firm in October 2023 as our CIPD qualified Human Resources Manager, before being promoted to Director and Head of HR in April 2026.
Debbie provides a comprehensive service that ensures that the business and employees are supported through best practice in order to encourage a high performance culture. She is responsible for the management of the Human Resources function and the delivery of strategic objectives, as follows;
Drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals
Advise leaders on the terms and conditions of employment and best practice
Apply HR and business knowledge in decision making
Develop HR policies and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes
Implement specific projects, procedure and guidelines to help align the strategic goals of the business
Ensure career learning, development & progression for employees is evolving
Manage talent acquisition, succession planning and retention management
Support change management processes
Review performance management
Provide advice on recruitment and selection strategies;
Constantly evolving Onboarding, Induction and Buddy Programmes to ensure that employees receive the best experience
Continuously monitor and review HR policies, processes and implement changes where necessary
Reward strategy
Implement strategies to assist with employee engagement
Implementing and delivering Line Management training
Prior to joining the firm, Debbie studied for an A Level in Employment Law, which led her onto the journey of specialising in Employment Law and Human Resources. She undertook the Specialist Diploma in Employment Law through the University of the West of England and continued to undertake the CIPD qualifications. She is now an Associate member of the CIPD. In addition to her CIPD qualifications and HR and Employment Law Diplomas, Debbie also holds her Mental Health First Aider Certificate, Counselling Certificate and LGBT+ Awareness Certificate.
