Parker Bullen names The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust as Charity of the Year

We are proud to announce that The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust has been chosen as our Charity of the Year for the coming 12 months.

This partnership reflects what matters most to us as a firm; supporting people through some of life’s most challenging moments and playing an active role in the communities we are part of across Hampshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire.

An initiative driven by our people

Our Charity of the Year is a purely employee-led initiative. Each year, our colleagues nominate and vote for a cause that is meaningful to them, ensuring the charity we support reflects the experiences, passions and values of our team.

This year, we are proud that our people have chosen The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust, a national charity that provides vital information, support and advocacy for those affected by ectopic pregnancy.

About The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust

An ectopic pregnancy can be an incredibly distressing and, at times, life-threatening experience, often leaving individuals and families feeling isolated and uncertain about what comes next.

The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust plays a vital role in supporting those affected. As the UK’s leading charity dedicated to ectopic pregnancy, they provide medically accurate information, emotional support and a strong community for anyone going through this experience.

Their work includes:

  • A dedicated support service, offering one-to-one conversations via telephone or video, as well as email support and live chat
  • Peer support through moderated forums and support groups, helping people feel less alone during a difficult time
  • Clear, accessible information about symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and recovery, used widely by patients and healthcare professionals
  • Education and awareness campaigns to improve understanding of ectopic pregnancy and encourage earlier diagnosis
  • Contributions to research and collaboration with the medical community to improve outcomes and reduce risk

Through this work, The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust ensures that people have somewhere to turn for both practical guidance and emotional support at a time when it is needed most.

Over the coming year, we will work closely with the charity to raise both awareness and funds, hosting fundraising activities across our offices, inviting them to attend our events to connect with our clients and contacts, taking part in their organised events such as the Tulip Trundle this April, and sharing information and resources to help increase understanding of ectopic pregnancy and the support available.

Karen Clarkson, Marketing and Business Development Partner at Parker Bullen, commented, “Our Charity of the Year is always something that means a great deal to us because it is chosen by our colleagues. It reflects the causes that matter to them and, in turn, shapes how we give back as a firm. The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust provides essential support at an incredibly difficult time in people’s lives. We are proud to support their work, to help raise awareness, and to create opportunities for our clients and contacts to engage with and support the charity throughout the year. While this partnership gives us a clear focus, supporting our communities more widely will always remain at the heart of what we do.”

Munira Oza, Chief Executive Officer of The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust, commented, “We are delighted to be named Parker Bullen’s Charity of the Year and we are grateful to the fantastic team for their support. As well as raising crucial awareness about ectopic pregnancy, the funds will make a real difference to those who are affected by the condition, paying for resources and services that mean no one has to face the heartbreaking experience alone. Parker Bullen’s nomination means that together, we can help people navigate what’s often a life-altering experience. Thank you for making this possible.”

Across all of our offices, we are proud to support a wide range of local charities, initiatives and events throughout the year. This partnership sits alongside our broader commitment to making a positive difference wherever we can.
