With a rich history across Wiltshire and Hampshire, particularly supporting those in the Armed Forces, we are pleased to have recently signed the Armed Forces Covenant, demonstrating our commitment to those who are currently serving, veterans, and their families.
We have been part of the Wiltshire Armed Forces Community Covenant for some years and have many employees who have experience of military life themselves, whether that is through directly serving, through their marriage or they are children of those serving.
Suzanne Foster, Partner and Sector Commander for the South East sector of Dorset and Wilts Wing RAFAC, commented, “Being based in the regions that we are, it is only natural that as a firm we have strong connections with the local Armed Forces communities. We have been developing relationships with bases local to our Andover, Romsey and Salisbury offices, and our newest office in Witney opens the door for more partnerships and support to be available for those in the Armed Forces across the South. With our own individual backgrounds, we can be an Armed Forces friendly firm not only through our discounts, flexibility and specialist advice, but also by using our own experiences to shape the advice we give and identify with the trials and tribulations our clients will be facing.”
The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge made to ensure that service personnel, those who are dependent on them and veterans are not placed at a disadvantage when accessing services. Businesses and charitable organisations can voluntarily signed the covenant in demonstration of their support for the Armed Forces community.
There are a variety of ways that businesses can make this pledge, either through discounts for the services they offer, supporting local events that bring together to the community, for example Armed Forces Day, flexibility relating to their employment should they be in the Reserves, or as and when their partner is deployed, as well as flexibility in the way advice is delivered should they be overseas.
Our experts in our Armed Forces department are here for you and your family if you need advice on any of the following matters:
