We believe that the role we play in our communities goes beyond the legal advice we provide. Over the past year, our Charity of the Year partnership with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has given us the opportunity to support a cause that literally saves lives.
This partnership has been particularly meaningful because it has been driven by our people. Each year, our Charity of the Year is chosen by our colleagues, reflecting the causes that matter most to them and to the communities we serve.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance’s Operation Airbase Appeal
Throughout the year, our fundraising efforts have contributed towards the charity’s Operation Airbase Appeal; an ambitious project to move their airbase from Thruxton to Southampton.
This move will make a real difference as by relocating, the crew will be able to reach more patients, in less time. Reduced travel times mean faster access to critical care, and ultimately, more lives saved across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Being able to play even a small part in supporting this mission has been incredibly important to us. Our teams across all offices have come together to support the charity in a variety of ways, with a shared commitment to making a positive impact.
Some of the highlights include:
- Taking on a glass walk challenge in June
- Raising funds through our Summer Party raffle, supported by generous contributions from local businesses
- Entering a team into the Romsey Relay Marathon in May 2025, as well as the charity’s Dash in the Dark event in September 2025
- Sponsoring the Ride of Champions, helping to support one of their flagship fundraising events
These activities, alongside many smaller efforts throughout the year, have helped us raise £5,069.61 in support of the charity.
This partnership has brought our colleagues together, strengthened our connection with the local community, and given us a deeper understanding of the vital work the Air Ambulance provides every day.
Karen Clarkson, Head of Marketing and Business Development, commented, “As a community focused firm, we are proud to support causes that make a genuine difference to the communities around us. Our partnership with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has been a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose.
“Seeing the enthusiasm and commitment from colleagues across all of our offices has been incredibly rewarding, and we are delighted to have contributed towards the Operation Airbase Appeal and the life-saving work it supports.”
Natalie Russell, Supporter Engagement Officer for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, commented, “The team at Parker Bullen have been nothing short of spectacular since the launch of our partnership. Their commitment to the local community is inspiring, and the money they have raised will save and change lives in our community.
“Thanks to organisations like Parker Bullen, our airbase relocation will impact lives from the minute we open our doors, and long into the future. On behalf of our patients and their families, thank you to everyone who made this partnership such a success.”
While our formal partnership has now come to an end, we know that the impact of this year will continue. The funds raised will contribute towards a project that will benefit the region for years to come.
We are grateful to everyone who has supported our fundraising efforts, from our colleagues and clients to the local businesses who have generously donated prizes and time.
Most importantly, we are proud to have played a part in supporting a service that is there when people need it most.
