We are delighted to announce the successful completion of our Charity of the Year partnership for 2023 with Dogs Trust, a renowned charity dedicated to the welfare of dogs. Throughout the year, our teams engaged in a series of initiatives and activities, raising an impressive £2,000 to support the valuable work carried out by Dogs Trust.
This collaboration exemplifies our commitment to corporate social responsibility and making a positive impact in the community. As part of this partnership, we organised various fundraising events, including a raffle at our Client Summer Party and a challenging 22-mile fundraising walk which went from our office on Castle Street in Salisbury to the Dogs Trust rehoming centre in Newton Tony and back again.
Additionally, a group of employees used their annual volunteering day, a benefit all Parker Bullen employees receive, to assist Dogs Trust in clearing local woodlands. This hands-on contribution aimed to enhance the environment for the dogs, providing them with a more enjoyable and stimulating experience during their daily walks.
“We are thrilled to have completed a successful year with Dogs Trust as our Charity of the Year,” explained Karen Clarkson, Marketing and Business Development Manager at Parker Bullen. “We believe in using our resources and influence to make a positive impact beyond the legal realm and our Charity of the Year is one way we can facilitate that. Each year, the chosen charity is nominated and voted for by our employees, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to support a cause close to their hearts.
“For Dogs Trust, this amount will make a real difference for dogs and their owners; £60 could cover the cost of care for one dog for one day at their rehoming centre, or £100 could help fund their dog ambulances to rescue puppies from puppy farms. As a dog-friendly firm, with our own Parkers Pooches attending our offices regularly, we are particularly proud of the collective effort that has resulted in a significant contribution to their vital work and would like to express our gratitude to everyone who participated in the fundraising events and contributed to this remarkable achievement.”
As a firm, we are continuously looking ahead to future charitable endeavours and potential partnerships to support our local communities and beyond. Should you wish to find out more about our events and activities, visit our News page or contact Karen at karen.clarkson@parkerbullen.com.
