Sharon joined our Salisbury based Wills, Probate and Estate Planning department in March 2023 bringing with her over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of Wills, Estate Administration, Powers of Attorney, Trust and Tax, and Deeds of Variation.  She particularly thrives working with complex and high net worth estates.

Her approach to all clients is to be proficient and friendly, putting them at ease.  All of her clients receive a professional and punctual service tailored for them, with straight-forward advice making a complex situation easy to understand.

Sharon Hawkes and her staff were invaluable in the Will Writing process. Diligently explaining every step and the process involved. Having dealt with solicitors in my role as a Mortgage Advisor over a period of 30 years I know a good solicitor when I see one! Well done Sharon keep up the excellent work!

Sharon began her legal career as a Secretary when she was 18 in a family run firm in her hometown of Shaftesbury. She then began her training as a Legal Executive for a Salisbury based firm until 2006 when she started her family.  She worked part-time for several years before taking a career break, returning to the law in 2011 in Shaftesbury and then Salisbury shortly before joining us.

After her years of working with various law firms, Sharon has embraced the ethos of team work at our firm.  Whether it’s between a lawyer and secretary, departmental, office wide or firm wide, everyone is included and everyone matters.

Outside of work, Sharon plays cornet in a local Brass Band with her daughter and, hopefully in the future, her son. This takes her all over the county for fetes, concerts and contests. In addition to this, she runs a Children’s Clothing Exchange and running group in Salisbury. When not partaking in these activities, she also loves spending time with friends and family and taking her mad Cocker Spaniel, Max, for long walks along the coast.
