Karen joined our Residential Property department in 2021 having worked in law firms since leaving school in 1979, specialising in Residential Conveyancing.

In her role, Karen deals with both freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, Transfer of Equity, Forces Help to Buy as well as Government Help to Buy schemes and has built an enviable reputation and strong relationships with local agents in Andover.

Helping clients to have a stress-free transaction, Karen speaks to them in simple language terms to enable them to have a better understanding of the transaction. She tries to fulfil the client’s expectations to the best of her ability.

I cannot rate PB enough and moreover my solicitor Karen Matthews, I am possibly the worst house buyer due to having little or no patience but Karen and her staff handled everything brilliantly! This is the 6th time she’s handled house related paperwork for me and this time hopefully my last ever purchase never complains I’m too pushy or needy despite being so! I would highly recommend her and the team! Always thankful, but I hope I never have to sell or buy again which is no reflection on the service.

Prior to joining the firm, Karen started as a Secretary at Clarke and Son in Basingstoke and had in house training to become a Conveyancing Executive.  She has worked for a variety of other firms including Middletons, (previously known as DBB Solicitors, Parkes Browne, Parkes and Co) Sears and Co, Footners, Driver and co and Paul Chong.
