Chris joined our Wills, Probate & Estate Planning department based in Romsey Strong House in 2022 at the end of his LLB degree as a Paralegal.  He has gained valuable experience by working alongside his colleagues in drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, obtaining Grants of Probate and Estate Administration and is now currently working towards becoming a Solicitor following the SQE route.

Chris has greatly benefited from the experience of his colleagues and their willingness to share their expertise with him.  He finds our workforce of experienced staff members who are willing to support the training of the future generation incredibly helpful.

In May 2023, Chris completed Dementia Friends training due to his passion to provide a compassionate service and assist with vulnerable clients. With an enhanced understanding of dementia and its impact, Chris is committed to providing compassionate and tailored support to his clients that respects their unique needs and fosters a supportive environment.

We recently created our wills (during will month) and the detail and expertise from Chris in the Romsey office was fantastic. He got us thinking of things we hadn't thought about and really covered all the bases for us. Could not fault the speed we could do this and attention to detail. This is a weight off our minds now and we had been putting it off for a very long time - no need to as this was one of the easiest ways ever, should of done it years ago! All the staff were very friendly and super efficient. Would definitely recommend, and would use them again in future if needed.

Hannah and Chris were so very professional and kind in assisting when I prepared my new Will particularly as I had recently lost my husband. Can thoroughly recommend Parker Bullen.

My partner and I required new wills and advice on inheritance tax. From the outset we were given clear, sound advice. A price was quoted at the first meeting which we were happy with. The process was efficient and effective, with the required wills and advice provided in the timescale indicated. We would be happy to recommend this firm to others. The people who dealt with us were Ashley Partridge and Chris Smith, both of whom were approachable, responsive and professional.

Very good from start to finish - Ashley and Chris guided us though some IHT and LPA advice that was both practical and effective, and made good sense both tax-wise and legacy-wise. We've made some changes already - wills, trusts, gifts, PETs, LPAs etc and have some more to do but we'll certainly follow the guidance we've received.

Chris completed the LLB Law Degree with the University of Chichester in 2022, graduating with a 2:1 and in January 2023 began his Solicitor Apprenticeship.  During his University studies, Chris worked virtually with Irwin Mitchell and took part in different advocacy opportunities including acting for the appellant in a Criminal Appeal case, receiving recognition as one of few “top advocates”, and the preparation for a Landmark Chambers Public Law Mooting Competition in November 2021.

He also volunteers with Southern Health NHS as a Mental Health Act Review Manager reviewing the legality of the detention of patients under the Mental Health Act 1983 which proves useful when considering capacity of clients for Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Outside of work, Chris often spends his free time in the theatres in the West End and regionally.  His favourite show to date is Come From Away.  Chris also likes to visit new places, especially along the coast.
