Parker Bullen solicitors, which has offices in Salisbury, Andover and Romsey has been recognised as one of the top seven legal practices in the UK for its client communications.

In a very challenging year for all businesses the Law Society has shortlisted Parker Bullen in its annual awards, with the winners being announced in October. The award recognises the firm’s extensive community outreach at a time when many law firms closed their doors.

Gareth Horner, managing partner, comments;

“When many solicitors effectively closed, we were determined to stay open and support whoever needed help. We connected with care homes, NHS Trusts and key worker businesses (schools, supermarkets, logistics businesses) to provide them with support in the form of accessible and affordable legal services. We also wanted to say ‘thank you’ to the key workers plus donate to the NHS. We offered a 50% discount off Wills, and a 10% discount of property transactions for key workers, we also donated iPads to a local Hospice to help keep families connected.

“While the pandemic had a huge impact on society it also highlighted the importance of getting one’s affairs in order – a role we have helped to play, for instance with the government recommending all key workers have up to date Wills. Being recognised as one of the top seven firms is fantastic”.
