The Armed Forces Act 2006 (AFA 06) gives a person subject to Service law, who thinks they were wrong in any matter relating to their Service, a statutory right to make a Service Complaint. Service complaints must normally be made within 3 months, beginning with the day the matter complained of occurred. In certain circumstances a complaint may be accepted outside this period by the chain of command.
We also advise and assist those in the Chain of Command who are complained about in a Service Complaint in order to enable them to understand the procedures involved and to properly formulate their response to the complaint made against them.
